Dmall vehicles are big in Japan_ and that's official. At a casual glance, non-vehicle-enthusiasts might spot nothing particularly unusual about this AA Minivan. They might say: "You don't see too many of those about," and they would be right. Apart from the fact that the AA no longer uses such vehicles, a discerning eye would note that this is a 1971 Minivan, restored to showroom condition. It seems there is a big market for second-hand minis in Japan and, in this case, the buyer wanted his decked out with period AA decals. Enter Classic Restorations of Burnham-on-Sea which has so far refurbed nine minis for the Japanese market. Local livery specialist, MarketForce UK produced the graphics on a thin-faced film called Oracal 751, matching as closely as possible the original film. "The design may appear simple but is really intricate with the AA logo wings involving very fine work," says MarketForce.
