Several tyre manufacturers have been promoting the idea of low-rolling-resistance (LRR) tyres for trucks, claiming potential fuel savings of 5% or more. Michelin's Energy tyres are well-known, but they are not the only option. In May Continental will launch its range at the IRTE Show: Bridgestone will follow suit soon. Other manufacturers have incorporated elements of LRR design into their mainstream tyres.
