By Julian Manes VAUXHALL IS TO expand its core conversion range with the launch of a Luton-bodied Movano at this year's CV Show.
Built by Aluvan of Bruges, Belgium, the aluminium body has an integrated rear frame to accept a tail-lift, and comes with a load volume of 17.2m. Payload is a competitive 1,358kg.
Power comes from the firm's 2.5CDTi engine, which produces 99hp, 119hp and 144hp. Prices start at £23,135 for the 99hp version. An electrically operated Ratcliff tail-lift is a £2,750 option.
Also making their debuts on the Vauxhall stand are the Black Edition concept vehicles (pictured above), which build on the success of the Sportive range. The Corsavan, Astravan and Vivaro all come with a unique chequered liver uprated alloy wheels and numerous sporting adornments.
• Vauxhall has announced a revised service and maintenance plan that allows for budgeting thanks to set monthly payments.
As well as routine servicing, it also covers wear and tear on components such as disc and drum brakes, clutches, steering joints, shock absorbers, wiper blades and exhausts.
The set monthly payment for the Combo Corsavan and Astravan is £29.99 [ex-VAT], while for the Movano and 'Vivaro, it is £31.99 [ex-VAT]. The plans are available on vehicles purchased from authorised Vauxhall retailers, and are applicable for the first three years or 60.000 miles of ownership.
