THE FOUNDER OF a Lincolnshire haulage firm has been honoured by the company's current bosses as they celebrate its golden jubilee.
To mark the milestone, Sutton Bridge-based MS Wayman & Sons has taken delivery of a custom-painted Daf XF105 tractor unit featuring scenes from its early years and pictures of founder Martin Wayman.
Wayman, 79, is now retired; the general haulage operation is run by his sons Andrew and Michael and his daughter Jane.
He says the custom truck came as a surprise: "Michael and Andrew kept disappearing and I was told they'd gone out to see a customer or something. Of course they were out shifting the truck around.
"They kept it under wraps until they showed it to me — I was totally gobsmacked."
