Never being one to point at other people's "lits" — our word for mistakes which appear in print — I was at first reluctant to point out a small one which appeared in the Yorkshire Post last week, but I gave in.
Among 16 vehicles being offered for sale by Central Motor Auctions at Rothwell, Leeds, was one of those super American gangsters' cars of the Thirties. But no, this was a 1972 Sedan and what a Sedan it was, with a 180 Gardner engine.
My informant, John Duff, of Selby, suggests it's all part of • Jimmy Carter's economy drive to get rid of cars with 180 engines to us. North Sea Oil won't go far with too many of these around.
