With reference to the numerous letters I have been reading in CM, as an hgv driver I agree with a lot of what Tony Hayes (CM, January 9) has to say on the subject of bus drivers. I always try to give way to a bus pulling away from a stop.
The point I would like to make is that a lot of drivers have a very selfish attitude. Surely a bus with possibly 70 or more people on board should have priority over a vehicle with one or two people in it.
I think it is about high time it is made compulsory by-law to give priority to buses leaving a stop.
