NEWBOULD TRANSPORT has been given permission by the Trafic Commissioner to base three vehicles and the same number of trailers at the M&T Transport facility in Castleford, subject to the following undertakings: ● a nil daily driver defect reporting system will be used ● a forward planner will be maintained ● vehicle safety inspections will be carried out every six weeks ● weekly auditing of driver defect reporting will be carried out ● all drivers will be trained in defect reporting.

BARNSLEY, SOUTH Yorks-based Ken Mallinson and Sons, wants authority for 20 vehicles and 25 trailers at the Hurricane Building at the Asda facility on the Redhouse Interchange in Doncaster. Asda is also looking for authorisation to station 20 vehicles and ive trailers at the GM Centre on its Redhouse Interchange site.

MOTHERWELL-BASED MB Removals is looking for the go ahead to have two vehicles at a site in East Kilbride, Glasgow. The company is looking to remove facilities in Carlisle Road, Hamilton, and on the Orbiston Street Industrial Estate in Motherwell, from its licence.

ALAN FIRMIN, based in Snodland, Kent, has been granted authorisation for 10 vehicles and 25 trailers at the Knauf Drywall facility in Queens Road, Immingham.
