NAANY applications to the Licensing MAuthorities for road-service licences, stated to be without modification, are found, on examination, to include timetables, fare-tables, etc., which are not in agreement with those attached to the previous licences or permits. The Passenger Vehicle Operators' Association reminds coach and bus owners of their responsibility in ensuring that details of applications are accurate.
If the variation of licences be desired, an application may be made at any time. The Licensing Authority must be furnished with the following information: (I) The number of the licence or backing concerned. (2) The condition to be varied. (3) Details of the variations desired. (4) The reason for the application.
Operators are also reminded that every objection or representation in respect of an application for a licence or backing must be made in writing, stating the specific grounds on which it is based. It the objector wishes that certain conditions should he attached to the licence, he must specify them.
Objections must be received by the Licensing Authority not later than 14 days after the application has been published in ".Notices and Proceedings." A copy of the objection must, at the same time, be sent to the applicant. A separate notice of objection must be furnished in respect of each application.
