A relatively inexpensive noisemeasuring kit is now marketed by Cosmocord.
The kit consists of the ACOS SLM3 sound level meter complete with microphone, extension lead, windshield, tripods and calibration unit. The meter meets all requirements of BS 3539 Part 1 and of the MoT and fully descriptive literature giving details of the setting up of type approver test areas and roadside test sites can be supplied.
