• The 'who-owns-what" truck industry merry-go-round has creaked into life again. The Financial Times has reported on claims emerging from Germany that Volkswagen is engaged in talks with Mimi, MAN'S largest shareholder, about a possible sale of its stake.
Meanwhile, the London paper also reports that Scania is unhappy with Volvo's attempts to extend the time by which it has to divest itself of its 45.5% stake in Scania. In 2000, Volvo was given until April 2003 to sell its stake under a ruling on competition grounds.
