Maritime Transport general manager, fleet sales, Matt Heath, is one marketplace player who is not unhappy about the stock drought. He disposes of the company's vehicles and, unlike many dealers, always has plenty of trucks available given the size of Maritime's operation.
"While business confidence is rising, as yet a lot of hauliers aren't confident enough to buy new given the price," he says. "So they're opting for used instead."
