The driver of a speedy conunercial vehicle had .put in many hard days at the wheel and was, perhaps, not as careful as usual when negotiating a very slippery stretch of country road, with the result that a violent skid caused the machine to demolish a telegraph pole, bringing the wires down with it. The driver was stunned, but, partly recovering, he stretched out an arm and, becoming entangled with the wires, was heard to exclaim: "Thank heaven I've lived straight. They've given me a harp."
