Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

-pq MC announces that all its commercial vehicles now in production will meet the braking regulations applying to vehicles registered before January 1 1968.

So will those registered since January 1 1958—except where maintenance has been neglected or non-approved brake linings, etc., have been fitted.

For vehicles to be registered on or after January 1 1968, when the regulation standards become higher, modifications are being incorporated where necessary.

The FJ range of vehicles was designed expressly with the requirements of the 1970s in mind and will achieve the necessary standard, as will all BMC vehicles now in production except two, provided of course that brakes are operationally maintained to the manufactured standard. The exceptions are the FF prime movers and the 5-ton FG K100 for which appropriate conversion kits are to be made available.
