BRITAIN'S new regulations on professional competence have driven one company out of business.
Nationwide Transport Ltd has stopped operating its 65 vehicle fleet and 180 trailers because it had no-one licensed to run a fleet.
The company's 0 licence was revoked at a public inquiry by South Wales LA Ronald Jackson on Monday after the company had been issued with eight prohibitions — two immediate and six delayed — and an overloading charge.
Nationwide Transport is part of the C. H. Bailey Group whose chairman Mr Bishop commented: "Quite simply we have found that there are too many regulations in this country."
