Ramage Transport has installed Safer Driving Assistants (SDAs) in-cab displays to help drivers take responsibility for fuel efficiency on 44 DAF XFs in its fleet. The company is using CMS Supatrak’s EcoTrak to measure speed, idling and over-revving. “We covertly analyse driver style through telematics, identify problem areas and use this data to assist in training the driver,” explains operations director Robin Ramage. He says the SDAs have been positively accepted by drivers and the company is now planning an incentive scheme.
