ANOTHER major breakthrough in electronic fuel monitoring and control has been claimed by Tirneplan Limited, the Surrey based electronic design and marketing group who specialise in fuel control for commercial vehicle refuelling.
The new system, to be called Datatote, is designed to complement their Dataprint system. Fleet operators who require fuel totals against each vehicle code in place of individual fuelling transactions could find the system useful.
According to Timeplan's chairman Leo Iles, "There is an increasing demand for a low cost fuel control system for the smaller vehicle fleet and at the same time may larger fleet operators need a system which allows for the cost effective transfer of data collected for computer processing. Datatote meets both of these needs.
The basic Datatote system costs £590.
