There was a record attendance at the Executive Committee of the Commercial Motor Users Association last week for the usuai monthly meeting. The two newest members of committee, Mr. Arthur Spurrier and Mr. E. W. Rudd. were duly welcomed by Mr. W. G. Lobjoit, J,P,, of Hounslow, who took the chair in the unavoidable absence of Colonel Crompton. The full attendance was: Mr. W. G. Lobjoit (Messrs. W. J. Lobjoit and Son) in the Chair; Colonel T. J. R. de Bertodano reported in regard to a conference convened by the Royal Automobile Club, and were further deputed to represent the Association at another meeting to he held also at the instance of the R.A.C. Resilient-wheel trials.---Correspondence with the R.A.C. was reported, and it was agreed to allow the matter to stand over, in view of the uncertainty as to the fulfilment of the Club's conditions, one of which is that ten entrants shall be guaranteed at £40 each, and that each entrant shall provide the vehicle upon which his wheels are to be tested.
Motor spirit by stsam vehieles.—The report of the Petroleum Committee, so far as it was adverse to steam vehicles, again came up for consideration, and it was referred to Colonel Crompton to carry the Association's representations further.
Proposed Brighton-W o rthiny t ra mica y. —Correspondence from a local member was submitted, and it was resolved to obtain a copy of the Bill when deposited, with a view to effective opposition.

I ((Su 1.(1 —The II AC. model policy was submitted, with a view to modification to suit commercial vehicles; the basis of this policy is a standard of clauses upon which competitive offices can quote. The Secretary was instructed to circulate copies of the correspondence to the Insurance Sub-Committee.
Membership.—Five new members were duly caroller. each having remitted the sum of two guineas to cover entrance fee and first annual subscription.
