IT is hoped that next year a road 'transport ferry service will be operated between Tilbury and Rotterdam by Frank Bustard and Sons, Ltd., 25, Whitehall, London, S.W.11.
The company runs a service between Tilbury and Hamburg, besides its Preston-Larne ferry, and the new service should come into operation as soon as difficulties concerning Customs regulations and other formalities have been overcome.
Mr. John Bustard, an executive of the company, told "The Commercial Motor" that on present costings the rates charged should be 4s. per sq, ft. for laden vehicles and 3s, per sq. ft. for those unladen.
A regular weekly transport ferry service has also just been inaugurated between Belfast and Preston by Frank Bustard and Sons, Ltd.
