SPECIAL versions of Mazda's B1600 pick-up truck have been developed by a Mazda dealer in Hexham for carrying livestock and milk crates.
The dealer, Kenord Ltd, of Eilansgate, Hexham (tel : 4500/ 4819) has designed the livestock crate based on a tube steel frame with weldmesh sides and this can be removed easily from the standard pickup in a matter of a few minutes. There is an upwardopening rear door, that has an automatic stay, which fits flush lo the normal tail-gate.
For the milk-crate carrier the the normal pick-up body is dispensed with and in its place is fitted a flat-bed with dimensions which exactly suit those of standard milk crates. The price for this version is about £175.
