• Lord Stokes opened a new BLMC truck distribution and assembly plant in Dublin on Wednesday. At the opening Lord Stokes said the slight depression in the commercial vehicle market in both the Irish Republic and UK could not last long.
British Leyland claims to hold 30 per cent of Irish market for vehicles or over-5-tons.
