Quality of service is key, says Renault Trucks boss
RENAULT TRUCKS' managing director says manufacturers that have a good dealer network and parts service have a better chance of beating the economic downturn, Laurent Farman (right) says all manufacturers are in for a "difficult few months", but that the truck market will eventually pick up. "The next few months will be about controlling costs.
"However, it is important to have the right people in the right positions, especially in a time of recession. We will continue to invest in the UK, in quality of service, the network and our parts service."
The Volvo group member said it would close three manufacturing sites in France for up to 90 days next year due to falling demand (CM 4 December).
