• • The recognition and acceptance of a code of practice for professional engineers, as a means of enabling members of the IRTE to maintain their professional status even if their union tries to impose actions which might be considered unprofessional, is being urged for consideration by the Institute.
Members at the round of annual general meetings just starting (the first was on Wednesday) are being given the chance to comment on this proposal.
Another topic being raised at the current 1RTE area agms is the registration of technician engineers.
