• In 1972 the Chartered Institute of Transport offers the following scholarships and grants to assist research and study in road transport:— CMUA Road Transport Research Fellowship; up to £1000 to enable a British subject, over 30 years and engaged in UK road transport, to examine and report on road transport arrangements abroad.
Henry Spurrier Awards; up to £500 available to assist study (part or full time), travel or research in subjects connected with road transport.
RHA Travelling Scholarship; not less than £200 to assist a candidate (who must be engaged in UK public road haulage) to meet travel expenses abroad for observing overseas road haulage practice.
Sir Wm Chamberlain Memorial Awards; up to £150 available for the encouragement of study and research in road transport subjects (restricted to applicants intending to be, or already engaged in road transport in Lancashire. Cheshire. Cumberland or Westmorland).
Consideration will be given to all applications received at the Institute's offices, 80 Portland Place, London, WI, by May 31, 1972.
