Its two-tonne aluminium capsule was recently transported from the Lindstrand Balloon factory at Oswestry to Chelsea Harbour for an unveiling before guests including astronauts Buzz Aldrin from the US and Russian Vladimar Dzhanibekov.
Cave Wood transported the capsule on a Volvo FH 12.340 low-height 6x2 rigid equipped with a Palfinger crane. That was the easy part. All Branson has to do now is fly the thing, which is likely to happen sometime this month, possibly over the Chiltern Hills.
