haulage firm have been fined just £250 between them by West Bromwich magistrates for using a truck without an Operator's Licence.
Steven Littley and Stephen Hardy of Camberley, Surreybased SHL Couriers admitted the offence by letter. Malcolm Seward, prosecuting for the Vehicle Inspectorate, told the court that examiners had discovered the offence after the firm's 17-tonner parked up at Perry Bar, Birmingham last December.
The partners, who were also ordered to pay £65 costs, said they had not realised they needed an 0-licence for short-term use. They have since applied for a licence.
