Hearing adjourned • Consideration of disciplinary action against Lutterworth-based JW Contractors has been adjourned by Eastern TC Brigadier Compton Boyd. Last December the company's managing director, John Wallis, was ordered to pay fines and costs totalling £10,000 at Leicester Crown Court after he admitted falsifying tachograph records and aiding and abetting drivers to do so.
Licence lent • Lending an 0-licence disc to Lewis Land Services has led to one of the two vehicles operated by Kenneth Campbell, trading as Denis Autos of Bragar, being suspended for a week at a Stornoway disciplinary inquiry.
S&S suspension • The one-vehicle licence held by Shirley Scott, trading as S&S International, of Jedburgh, has been suspended for two weeks by Scottish IC Michael Betts after the conviction of her transport manager, Thomas Scott, on five offences of falsifying tachograph charts.
