TRUCK REFRIGERATION
maker Carrier Transicold has entered the market for rigid truck cab roof aerofoils. The company believes that access to fridge units mounted at the top front of rigid truck bodies is fraught with danger on trucks fitted with air management equipment.
After failing to find a suitable product, Carrier created its own. Its answer, designed in conjunction with Ryder Europe, combines an aerofoil blade that hinges forward on gas struts with a permanently fitted working platform on the cab roof, enabling an engineer wearing a fall arrest harness to work in safety.
