BRS Rescue will operate from a number of the group's depots on a national scale to provide a recovery service for commercial vehicles.
Extensive service
The group has six companies operating in England and Wales and four in Scotland with more than 120 depots. Not all depots are expected to be BRSR units.
BRS has the facility for offering an extremely extensive service and a spokesman for the company said this week that its rates would be very competitive.
The new company will be managed by C. Beattie who is at present planning and development controller of the BRS Group. He was formerly with the British Steel Corporation. BRSR will use a wide range of equipment mounted on a variety of hgv chassis. The vehicles will be on public show for the first time at CM's vehicle recovery conference at Wembley on May 5 and 6.
