EMMA PENNY'S feature (26 February) on drivers' CPCs raised many important questions — but she missed one: could the Dutch industry's predominance in Europe be due to their drivers professional, and expensive, training?
Your editorial comment on the plan, and "European Jobsworths" sneer on the cover, overlook the fact that EU transport law is adopted by elected national ministers and MEP& not the EC.
While some of these are useless, many are superb. and most are intelligent and hard working; the same mix as you find with journalists. Reg Dawson Llandudno
