Wincanton Fleet Services in bid for 200-vehicle 0-licence
111 WINCANTON GROUP has
submitted an application to run 200 vehicles and 289 trailers from ProLogis Park in Bradford.
The application has been placed by Wincanton Fleet Services the firm's truck maintenance and servicing organisation.
Last November. the company lost the main road transport element of the Marks & Spencer (M&S) store equipment contract based in Marchington. Uttoxeter. to DHL Supply Chain.
However, as part of the shake-up. Wincanton announced it would continue the warehousing part of the store equipment agreement for M&S, and relocate the operation to to run Bradford in early 2010. Wincanton has recently been advertising for warehouse staff at the Prologis site in the city.
