Bill Brock writes: Bedford? 7.5 tanner has a quoted chassis weight of 2.6 tonnes and as tested had an unladen axle weight of 1.87 tonnes front and 1.75 tonnes rear allowing for a total payload with driver of 3.87 tonnes. Overall performance may have been improved if the vehicle had been specified to suit the operational conditions of ow Welsh route. Ed.
