But GLC transport committe vice chairman Paul Moore me Mr Howell's announcement witl a call for the public inquiry to b, scrapped and for major row building plans to be abandoned
He added: "This inquiry is waste of money. The Goverr ment should get out of the wa and let the GLC get on with sen sible transport policies based a traffic management, priority to public transport, and oppositia to bigger lorries."
