7 is announced by Seddon Diesel Vehicles -Ltd. that the 13:Four four-wheeler can 3w he supplied to operate at 14.1 tons -oss, at which weight it is suitable for ating. The uprating has entailed the use ' larger front brake units-6 in. wide in ace of 5 in. wide—which brings the total ictional area to 730 sq. in. as against i8 sq. in.
The braking system has dual circuits vrating dual actuators with the service chambers fed from a dual-brake valve controlled by the brake pedal. A protected secondary system to the remaining chambers is controlled through a hand reactor valve.
M.N.1 alloy steel pressed-channel main frames are used and the tyre sizes are raised from 9.00-20 I4-ply to 10.00-20 14-ply. The engine remains the same. the Perkins 6.354, but heavier road springs are included in the new specifications.
