MANY months ago I carried news of the Scammell Spotters Club. Now I learn it has had a big new boost in the BBC's Blue Peter programme for children. After a big Scammell truck for Pakistan had been featured, the Spotters Club was mentioned and the response was immediate and (almost) overwhelming. Even two weeks after the programme, letters were arriving at 50 to 100 a day. My picture shows Hilary Jenkins, secretary to Scammell's publicity manager, with part of the mountain of mail.
