THE intransigence of the NUR on the question of access liner-train terminals may have been conditioned by the grow of the service.
In the first four weeks, 241 loaded containers were carried. the four-week period up to July 1 the number had increased 1,623. British Railways estimate that by the end of August as mar as 10,000 loaded containers will have been carried since Novemb( 1965.
It is in this context that Mrs. Castle's current wooing of the NL: is proceeding.
