• An opportunist thief stole an Iveco Ford Cargo outside a shop as the driver was inside for a couple of minutes buying a can of Coke.
Sue Hodson, company secretary of Rotherham-based Wade & Hodson, which owns the £4,000 vehicle, says: "He was only gone for a couple of minutes. It was a total shock when he saw the lorry go off in a puff of smoke."
The theft of the vehicle, which was loaded with steel beams worth more than £10,000, took place in Summerhill Road, Coseley, West Midlands.
