Transfrigoroute, the organisation representing the temperature-controlled transport sector, is to open its membership to smaller operators.
Traditionally associated with larger fleets, the organisation feels that its products and services would also benefit operators with five or fewer vehicles.
Transfrigoroute secretary Liam 011iff adds: "We feel we have something to offer the smaller operator. Many issues in the industry, such as temperature control and hygiene, are the same regardless of the size of the company," To encourage applications from smaller companies Transfrigoroute is offering first-year membership at a reduced rate of £150. Services include technical support, guides and driver training programmes.
