• To make the transport industry generally aware of the implications of transport manager registration, the general secretary of the National Guild of , Transport Managers is to embark on a series of meetings which will involve covering nearly 20,000 miles.
Mr Frank P. Coult told CM that he will commence his tour at the beginning of March and he expects to address some 50 meetings before the end of June. Gatherings , will be held in all the major centres of the country and will be open to all interested in the prospect of implementation of section 65 of the Transport Act 1968.
The object will be to make everyone aware of the proposals now before the Minister for Transport Industries—those for a statutory scheme suggested by the Guild and the alternative of a voluntary scheme put forward by the TML committee.
