• The licence held by South Ockenden-based Paul Carey was revoked by Eastern DTC Brian Horner when he failed to appear at a Cambridge disciplinary inquiry. Homer plans to disqualify Carey and his transport manager Paula Atkins indefinitely from holding a licence after hearing that four vehicles had been operated without authority.
Dual use
• Scottish DTC Richard MacFarlane accepted the surrender of the licence held by Al loa-based George Young at an Edinburgh disciplinary inquiry. He was told that a vehicle specified on both Young's licence and a licence held by Alexander MacLarty had been sold to MacLarty and Young had forgotten to remove it from his licence.
Only one • unsatisfactory maintenance records led Scottish DTC Richard MacFarlane to cut the authorisation on the licence held by Crieff -based MacLarty Contractors from three vehicles and six trailers to the one vehicle and one trailer in possession.
Case dropped
• The Crown Prosecution Service has dropped allegations that the Fleetwood-based P&O subsidiary Pandora permitted drivers to drive excessive hours and take insufficient breaks and rest. The case was due to be heard by Dunstable magistrates.
