THE DEPARTMENT for Transport (DfT) is pulling together all the research that has been carried out on truck parking, which will be used to formulate a national strategy.
The DfT says: "The DfT understands the importance of parking facilities in enabling drivers and operators to work safely and efficiently. That is why we are undertaking a research project on the provision of lorry parking in England.
The project is being undertaken to consolidate existing research that will lead to the clarification of roles and responsibilities across the public and private sectors."
