AGREAT many important traffic routes throughout the country will be closed to thousands of commercial vehicles if the railways be permitted to close the bridges in the appended list to those weighing more than 12 tons laden. A large number of the
bridges will actually be limited to much below this weight if Clause 30 of the Road and Rail Traffic Act be brought into full force.
The list is of bridges on Class I and II roads and certain unclassified routzs in England and Scotland.
