A SYSTEMS design study of the application of automatic data processing to freight container operations has been awarded to Elliott Brothers (London) Ltd. (EASAMS), an Elliott Automation company, by the Minister of Transport. The new study is expected to cost about £24,000.
Object of the study is to ensure efficient exchange of information between the computerized control systems of container operators, with some measure of standardization and compatibility of systems.
