THE WELSH Ambulance Service (WAS) has taken delivery of 119 Mercedes-Benz ambulances.
The WAS ordered the 5.0-tonne Sprinter 515CDIs after winning a £16m grant from the Welsh Assembly to update its fleet.
The new ambulances arrived via Cardiff dealer Euro Commercial. They feature M-13's Adaptive ESP anti-skid and PAS brake-assist system, Telma retarders, tail-lifts, hydraulic stretchers and wheelchairs.
