m May saw further steady growth in the UK CV market, the exception being continuing decline little 4x4 utility sector
The market overall was up 5.6% in May, but year-to-date figures have risen 11.2%, although the truck sector is slightly less buoyant at 8.8%. Among the heavies, most rnanu facturers have shown improved year-to-date figures apart from ERF and both New brands, which are sightly down.
At the lighter end, Vauxhall strengthened Its domination of the sub-1,800kg market, and continues to thrive in the up-to-5.5 tonne sector, as do Citroen, Flat and Fort
