Diabetics have been deluging their MPs with complaints about the Government's ban preventing insulin-dependent diabetics from driving category Cl and DI vehicles. And the House of Commons has been awash with questions from MPs voicing their constituents' disapproval.
The latest attacks came last week from Torbay and West Lancashire MPs Adrian Sanders and Colin Picktholl, both insulindependent diabetics and both doubting the wisdom of the Government's stance.
However, Roads Minister Glenda Jackson refuses to budge on the issue, other than to promise: "The rules will be kept under review, both by our medical advisors and through our representation on the EU committee."
