The Office of Government Commerce provides a professional procurement service to the public sector to enable organisations to deliver improved value for money in its commercial activities and offers professional support when it matters, advising on technical issues, energy saving and environmental improvements.
This Treasury department recently developed a cross-public sector set of agreements on how to co-ordinate courier services. The package included ad hoc and scheduled collections and deliveries locally, nationally and internationally, both same day and next day. City Sprint, Royal Mail, TNT and E-Courier were among the firms awarded four-year deals.
