trailer at last year's Hanover truck show TTT's Hans Juergen Lange reports an intense level of interest in the consortium's work, not least from a number of truck chassis manufacturers who visited its stand at Hanover and examined the ultra-light tipping trailer closely. "What we are doing could well prompt a greater use of carbonfibre in trucks," promises Lange who says that the M group will make its own truck" with a carbonfibre chassis. "It will be a prime mover (rigid) with a rncnocoque design," he reports, adding that
the use of such composite/carbon
fibre technology could shave as
much as 1.5 to 2.0 tonnes from the kereweight of the truck. That would be a quantum leap for the industry," he insists.
