in an effort to try and postpone lorry route schemes that may be coming into effect in the South East.
A spokesman told CM that the counties were now pursuing their own lorry route schemes with little or no relation to what was going on in other neighbouring counties. They accused Buckinghamshire County Council of devising "a kind of hide and seek for the drivers" said the RHA which was making access difficult for commercial drivers.
Bedfordshire proposals had already been criticised by hauliers for their proposals to divert east-west traffic into Bedford or Luton from Ampthill and restrict the Luton traffic to one main end.
