• Sam Malpas, Cheshirebased operator J1-I Butler & Sons has developed a range of skips for Multi Lift HL5 hook-lift vehicles that can be stacked without their rollers causing floor damage. A clamping system reduces movement of the stack during transport.

• Millbrook, the Bedfordshire vehicle proving ground, has bought the vehicle engineering business of British Gas Natural Gas Vehicles. The firm claims it will become Europe's leading centre for the design of gas-powered and dual-fuel vehicles. Millbrook has also taken over UK and Irish distribution of gaseous fuelinjection equipment from GFI Control Systems.
