• Bolton haulier Graham McGlynn was arrested and bailed to appear before Bolton magistrates later this month after he failed to appear to answer charges of obstruction. He had driven a vehicle away from a test station before the annual test had been completed.

• Environmental objections from residents led to the refusal of a bid by Otr Tyres to increase the authorisation on its Tonbridge licence from one to two vehicles at a Tunbridge Wells public inquiry.
Bid refused
• A bid for a new international licence four four vehicles and four trailers, by Dracon Transport, of Colchester, has been turned down by Eastern TC Geoffrey Simms at a Cambridge public inquiry.
Vehicles suspended
• Breaches of environmental conditions have led toll vehicles being suspended from the 18-vehicle licence held by W McClure, of Windermere, for one month. The company appeared before North Western DTC Patrick Mulvenna at a Trafford disciplinary inquiry.
Licence lost
• Convictions for VED offences led to the revocation of the licence of Richard Evans, trading as R&A Freight, of West Wellow. Western TC Christopher Heaps also disqualified Evans from holding an 0-licence for two years.
